Liz, my highschool friend sent me a text message on morning in April, "kcat, may leukemia anak ni donnie, please pray for him" I was surprised with the news, I immediately opened my eyes woke up and asked for donnie's number. I texted d Donnie and learned the sad news. :(
Isaiah Kurtis Mangohig was born on January 2, 2010. In April 2, a few months after turning 1 year old, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) or cancer of the white blood cells is a dreaded and fatal blood disorder.
this was taken during Kurt's 1st birthday
After all the pain and crying, he is still trying to hang on from what his parents observed. His eyes showed courage and hope.
"If Kurt is fighting why can't we" said Noel to Donnie.
Noel and Donnie are just a regular employees who have enough salaries to support their family and Kurt's medicines. However, the cost for Kurt's Chemotherapy are too expensive and their monthly salary isn't enough.
"We really wanted him to complete his treatment and survive, for him to live a normal life again without restriction or too much caution." says Noel.
